Pelatihan Pembuatan Komik AI dan Dampaknya terhadap Hasil Belajar

The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) creates new opportunities for teachers to design learning materials that are more visual, contextual, and efficient. Digital comics are a promising medium because they integrate text, images, dialogue, and narrative into a coherent learning experience. This Community Service Program (PkM) aimed to improve elementary school teachers’ competence in producing AI-assisted educational comics and to examine their implications for learning-material quality and student learning outcomes. The program was conducted at SDN 01 Pagi on May 23, 2026, involving 10 teachers: six classroom teachers, two subject teachers, and two supporting teachers. The activities consisted of needs identification, conceptual instruction, demonstration, hands-on practice, mentoring, product presentation, and evaluation. Evaluation used pretest-posttest scores, a participant satisfaction questionnaire, and product observation. The mean pretest score increased from 57.2 to 84.6 in the posttest, representing a 27.4-point gain (47.9%). Participant satisfaction reached 92.1%, while the quality of the resulting comic products reached 92.0%. All participants produced at least one AI-assisted digital comic. These results indicate that the training effectively strengthened teachers’ readiness and competence in using AI to develop innovative learning media. However, because the program did not directly measure students’ test scores before and after using the comics, the impact on student learning outcomes should be interpreted as a pedagogical implication supported by previous research rather than direct causal evidence. Further mentoring and classroom trials are recommended to establish stronger evidence of effects on learning outcomes.
